Hey Y'all! My name is Jess and I am a 33 (soon to be 34) mother of 3 boys and 1 chocolate lab puppy. Recently there have been some changes in our family, and I have become a full time stay at home mom and wife.  My life has not turned out the way I planned (having both Criminal Justice Degree and an Elementary Teaching Certificate, plus working as a marketer for 8 years) however I honestly believe I am right where I belong, and right where my husband and children need me.

I grew up an athlete, played softball, basketball and volleyball.  Dabbled in running starting in 2004 when I completed my first marathon, and really fell in love with running after the birth of my 3rd child in 2011.  However, even my life as a runner is ever changing and in 2013 I discovered trail running and the UltraMarathon world.  I am completing my first 50k Ultra on September 7th 2013 and have already signed up for my first 50 miler in August 2014.

This blog is my personal journey as I grow as a mother, homemaker, and ultra runner.  The journey may not always be pretty, and I am sure there will be bumps in the road, but in the end I have a feeling it will be worth it.
